Frank Guida

    Frank graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. He continued his education by attending graduate art courses at the College of New Rochelle and the State University of New York at Purchase. He was accepted at the Westlake Gallery in White Plains and sold drawings there for several years. Frank was a member of the Mamaroneck Artist Guild and the New Rochelle Art Association. He has been a drawing teacher for over 25 years, teaching at The New York Botanical Garden, the Pelham Art Center, the Westchester Parks and Recreation Department and the New Rochelle Continuing Education Program. He won first prize in the pastel and drawing category at the Mamaroneck Artist Guild 36th annual juried exhibition at Manhattan's West Beth Gallery as well as many other first prize awards including the Rye Beaux Arts 42nd Annual Exhibition and the New Rochelle Art Association Adolf Grant Award Show. Among many one man shows, he has had shows at Iona College and The National Audubon Regional Center in Greenwich, CT.

   Outside of art, Frank is an active birder, participating in the Audubon Annual Christmas Bird Count and the Hawk Migration Association of North America. He also grows orchids and works as a volunteer in the New York Botanical Garden orchid collection.
